Whats New?

Its March and I cant wait untill spring arrives for certain. I say that bc lately, in my beautiful hometown of Blount County, Tennessee, the weather has been spring one day then a nasty winter day.
Currently, i am still working on different songs with different producers. I am very excited to say that my style has evolved into what is more me. At the start of my career, i was just going with the flow. I was allowing anyone to come into my career and tell me what i should do but, now that has changed. I have taken full control of what i put out. Therefor, please expect different music from me. AND LOVE IT :)

Thankfully, i have learned to be more patient. Not only with music, but i was blessed with the opportunity to coach my alma mater middle school team, The Eagleton Lady Royals. What a blessing. I think about those girls everyday. I am a firm believer that there is something to learn in every room we walk into. You know that door that closed and another opened?? Well in that room has something from God that he wants us to see.
It breaks my heart to see the role models that Elementary /Middle/High school kids look up to these days. I AM NOT a fan of Jersey Shore. I do not support that type of entertainment.  I have a video out now that i do not support and regret putting out all because i drop the "F" bomb. I must admit, i have a bad habit of cursing. I do not encourage it .
Coaching that team made me a better person and inspired me to MAKE SURE that i do not conform to the world. Music is a tool. It can be used to worship the devil or God.  I want my music to motivate people, and to lead people to the peace that i have encountered which is through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Life is beautifully ugly. I illustrate in most of my songs everyday situations that we as people may go through.
I AM NOT PERFECT and will never ever say i am. I probably cursed ten minutes ago, but does that make me a hypocrite??? Nah, only to the people that do not have a relationship with God but long for it but do not because of a selfish thought and desire. Why do i know this? Because I was once that person who was selfish.
My point is this. Life was given to us by God. If i make it big in the entertainment world, cool. If I dont, cool. Either way i have found myself happy and blessed. I have wonderful friends along with an amazing family.Everyday is a new day to strive for perfectness in the eyes of God. We will never recieve perfectness, but God sees our heart. I just want to help people understand that it doesnt matter where you work, who you are, what you have done, what someone has done to you, how big your house is, how much money you have, who you are dating.... What Matters is that we continually long for a relationship with Jesus and believe that their is a God. Once you start longing for a relationship with Jesus, everything else starts falling into place. God is Faithful. Life is not meant to be lived in sadness. True Happiness is found through Jesus. PERIOD
So, please feel free to share your feelings or comments. Always remember we have little eyes watching us. Have a great day.

An Adventure 12.19.2011

It is 8:50 in the a.m and im sitting by the window at a get away cabin :)(Thank You Jesus). Let me go ahead and tell you about the drive up here.lol. So we( my friend Leah and I) were driving thru the mountains and  of course we didnt plan on losing service to our phones which also ended our navigation connection. Can you guess what happened next?? haha Yes, we were in a place called "lost." We drove for 30 minutes, guessing where we should turn but it didnt matter cause wherever we did turn just led us deeper into "lostville." Keep in mind we had absolutely zero service.
I found myself laughing at the matter bc we were literally in the middle of nowhere. We finally agreed to turn down a lit street hoping for our service bars to activate. As we drove 2 minutes down this road, still no signal, we suddenly came to a stop sign. We were at a dead stop, no lights, expect for my car lights which JUST HAPPENED to shine brightly on a sign right in front of us. This sign pointed us to the right, leading us to a church that stayed on top of the hill that we couldnt see unless we followed the sign. It also JUST HAPPENED to be a Sunday Night, and this church JUST HAPPENED to have a Sunday night Christmas Party.
Without thought, i drove up to the building where i saw people leaving from the party. About 6 middle aged men and women smiled at me as i approached. " I am so sorry to bother you, i am lost with no signal, and need to get to North Carolina." To make a long story short, one kind man and his wife led us to their house 3 minutes away to let us use their internet connection to print off directions. They also gave me all the important information that i needed to know such as " You wont have any service for another 30 minutes."
I know you werent there, but i was, and i can tell you with assurance, God is found in every minute of this story. We could have turned down any road, but the road we picked led to a church. We were in the middle of nowhere. I was so comfortable walking up to the church people. Would i have done the same if the road led to a Bar? NEGATIVE. Come to think about it, i wouldnt have got out to ask anyone for help unless it was Church people.
I can honestly say i wasnt panicking or scared about being lost, i trusted God and i was confident he was in control of the situation.(This trust comes with spending time with God and in the word). Now 1 year ago i wld have reacted in a frantic manor, only bc i didnt have the relationship with God like i do now. Its little stories and life situations like this one that proves God is able.
Real quick, read Matthew 7: 13-14. This passage has nothing to do with the story above. Its just that i just read it and it spoke to me. Following Jesus isnt easy. Its actually going to be the hardest thing we have ever done. Overcoming the flesh is a mind thing. If Jesus controls our mind then it will benefit us. What we put in our minds is what comes out. Its sad to say but we will find more people walking with the devil then walking with Jesus. THINK THO, Is it the stories of Big Armies defeating Little Armies that make the story great, or vice versa??? THINK David and Goliath. "But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." -Matthew 7:14
I hope you have a great day and a fresh start to a new week. Forget the past!! Its a new season. MUCH LOVE
